CD 1 & Vivelle Dot Patch
Monday, February 13, 2012
So to my surprise this morning I started my menstrual cycle. I am 6 days early, which is not par for the course. I am usually spot on (no pun intended) with the timing to starting my menstrual cycle.
I called RMA to talk with my nurse Rachel and was told she no longer worked at RMA. Of course I start panicking a little bit because Rachel had such a soft, caring demeanor. RMA is currently training a new nurse but unfortunately, a specific nurse is not assigned to my case yet.
I have made the next appt for lab work and an ultrasound on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. At that time I will do more inquiring about the nurse situation. If the ultrasound results are okay then I start the day with more shots. I should be receiving all the meds in the mail tomorrow from Medco.
I did receive a call back from another nurse named Becca. She informed me not to worry about starting my menstrual cycle early. This can happen with some women because of the Cetrotide I was taking.
Tonight I change the Vivelle patch and keep this one on for five days. On Wednesday I should receive a new calendar that will list when to take the medication.
I definitely was not planning on starting the process a week early. As many of you know me I do not like my plans stirred up and changed. I go by my calendar daily in work and in my personal life. I am so antsy waiting to get this new calendar on Wednesday. Uuuuugh but I guess I have to wait.
Oh yeah, I was also informed I am not allowed to take ibuprofen for pain. Apparently the ibuprofen messes with the meds. I am allowed to take Tylenol but it makes me nauseous, or at least the last time I took it ten years ago it did not set well with my stomach. I am having really bad menstrual cramps. I almost feel like they are heightened due to the Cetrotide shots. I took a hydro codeine pill, but it did not make the cramps totally go away.
I might try some Tylenol tomorrow to see how it works.
