First, Happy Valentines Day!!!
I came home today to find a mountain of boxes with meds on my front porch from Medco. My first reaction to all of those boxes was holy shit what the hell is that. I could not believe that there could be that much medicine I would need to take. I immediately felt overwhelmed and thought what the heck am I doing. I took all the boxes in the garage and waited for Pete to come home.
Once we brought everything inside the house we started un-boxing the medicine. Pete broke down all of the boxes and unpacked them while I wrote down the quantity, name and dosage of each item that was shipped. Each separate medicine was shipped in it’s own styrofoam container with ice gel packs. We found it kind of wasteful to put one vile of medicine in it’s own box. As Pete stated “our own insurance dollars hard at work”.
After we had everything on the table the amount of meds did not look as overwhelming as the packaging. I started to feel a lot better after seeing the true amount of medicine I would be taking. Half of the meds need refrigeration and the other half I have in a drawer in the spare bedroom. I was even shipped a needle disposal container and alcohol wipes for ease.
Tomorrow I have an ultrasound and lab appointment. I believe I start the medicine tomorrow but need to wait for the calendar from RMA.
